Bang Si-hyuk’s Mansion Narrowly Escapes LA Wildfires, Neighbor Beyoncé Forced to Evacuate?
Bang Si-hyuk, Chairman of HYBE, narrowly escaped the devastation of the ongoing LA wildfires, which have wreaked havoc in California. His mansion in the exclusive Bel Air neighborhood was situated dangerously close to the fire’s reach, which led to evacuation orders in the area.
Both Bang Si-hyuk and his neighbor, pop icon Beyoncé, who also owns a home in Bel Air, were forced to evacuate. According to reports from The Hollywood Reporter, Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s family took refuge in Las Vegas during the fires.
The wildfire, which began on the 7th of the month, spread rapidly due to strong winds, known as the “devil’s wind,” affecting the coastal areas of Los Angeles. The fire expanded inland, with some areas of Bel Air also under evacuation. The fire has destroyed thousands of homes, with about 12,000 homes and buildings lost, leaving hundreds of thousands of people displaced. The Associated Press reported that this has been the largest urban fire in California in the past 40 years.
Many high-profile celebrities lost their homes in this catastrophic blaze, including former Major League Baseball player Park Chan-ho, whose Beverly Hills residence was also destroyed. Other stars affected include Mel Gibson, Will Smith, Paris Hilton, Gerard Butler, Mandy Moore, Neil Young, and Mark Hamill.
Bang Si-hyuk’s Bel Air mansion, which he purchased through his private real estate company, Bel Air Stradella LLC, was bought for $26.4 million. The mansion is located in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the United States.
The mansion, which was purchased in 2022, spans over 309 square meters with three floors. It includes six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a library, gym, infinity pool, sauna, rooftop terrace, and outdoor kitchen, all luxurious amenities. Bang Si-hyuk is believed to have bought the property for expanding his music network and projects in the U.S., with HYBE America’s office located nearby.
